Major Changes

So I decided I wanted to get my hair done differently. I've been trying to grow my hair out til the baby comes. Well, I asked my sister to come with me and she talked me into getting an A-line and putting blonde in it. It's so different. It's not too drastic of an A-line but it's hard to get used to. I don't like it yet but hopefully I will soon. Hopefully you can see the change in this picture:

The other big change is my stomach. About a week and a half ago my stomach decided it wanted to grow and now I can't fit any of my clothes. It's really exciting but hard to get used to. And I swear every morning it sticks out like an inch further. Crazy! I just read today that I should gain about a pound a week for this next month. That won't be very fun but I'm glad the baby is growing! So here's my official 22 week baby bump picture :-)

Pranks

No I'm not serious about the last post. Wendy slept over last night and I fell asleep before her and she decided to post for me. Like I said earlier I'm not close to coming up with a name yet and although I love my sister, (except when she plays pranks on me) I won't be naming the baby after her. :-) Sorry for the confusion. Oh and to my other sisters, don't you think I would've told you first before posting it on my blog? lol

Been Thinking

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. I'm definitely a fan of family traditions. So wouldn't it be nice to carry on my family legacy by naming my unborn daughter after a family member? Since Wendy is childless, I think I'll start with her. Wendy is such a pretty name anyway, right?

Hypnosis

I take a class called Sport Psychology. We go over different techniques to help athletes get over mental blocks that they have in performance. It's pretty cool. Anyway today we went over hynosis, my professor told us in advance that we'd be hypnotized and I just thought "no thanks" It sounded totally weird to me cause I always picture stage hypnotists from tv. But I learned that clinical hypnosis and stage hypnosis are totally different. It's just like any other performance enhancement technique. Anyway, we were hypnotized in class and it just felt like relaxation. It was awesome. I would really like to learn how to get better at it and maybe even use it during labor. Anyway, pretty cool. (I promise I'm not crazy :-)

Gratitude

Our car stereo got stolen in like June. I've been without music in the car since then. I've used my ipod which hasn't been bad but it's pretty old and lately it hasn't been holding a charge. So, for my two hours+ in the car everyday it hasn't been very pleasant. Yesterday Ty took the car to work to put on new tires. Well, when I got in the jetta to go the the I store I saw this:

I was so excited. Ty had bought me a new radio and installed it and everything. I'm so grateful for his hard work and generosity to me. He does so much for me I'm so happy we'll be together forever cause he's perfect for me. Sorry for all the gushy stuff. :-) Anyway, the radio has an ipod hookup and so I can listen to my ipod in the car but it also charges my ipod! Way cool. I was totally jamming out on the way to work today. :-) YAY for music!!!

Angels

Yesterday was a really bad day. It just seemed like nothing could go right plus I was really emotional so I was pretty much just crying the whole day. My poor husband got many distressed phone calls and even a visit at work cause I needed his strength. He is so good to me and knows exactly how to cheer me up. After my last breakdown I was really discouraged so I decided that I wanted to go to the temple that evening. I knew I couldn't go being so upset so I prayed for help to brighten my day and ease my burdens so that I could think clearly and come out of my rut. Well I felt a little better and Ty was helping me a lot. As I was driving home I was stopped a light and I hear the person next to me say "excuse me" I looked over and she said "I love your shirt...It is so cute!!!" I thanked her and the light turned green and we went on. Of course I started crying because something so little could really brighten my day. It turned my day around and I felt so much better. Today during Elder Holland's talk at conference he talked about angels around us everyday. He said sometimes it's a neighbor or a spouse. I am grateful for the angels in my life and how much they are my light in the darkness. So, let's all try to be someone else's angel if you aren't already. :-)
