Wonderful Grandmas

My mom has been so helpful through this whole process. Not only did she coach me through the whole birth, she's continued to help me since. We've been staying with her and my dad since we're still waiting for the loan to close on the condo. (which is hopefully next week) She has been there when I need a helping hand and if I need a break or anything. It's been great and I'm sad she's going back to work on Monday. :-(
So, Ty's mom was out of town when the baby was born. She was able to come up on Wednesday and Thursday to visit. It was great to spend time with her and I'm glad she finally got to see the baby. She brought us lunch and stuff for the baby. I'm very grateful for all her help!Life is going so well right now. I've never felt so much love and so many blessings. Everything is working out for us and I know we're being watched over. Does it get any better than this? :-)

Heaven on Earth

The doctor who delivered our baby also delivered my sister's baby 6 weeks ago!

This is just after her first bath! Do you like the red bow? :-) Go Utes!
Here's the best dad ever with his baby girl.
Here she is today. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Whoever thought that so much could change over such a short period of time. We went into the hospital on Thursday night at 10. They started the medicine to ripen my cervix and at about 8:30am my water broke. They started the pitocin around 9:30. I progressed rather quickly and around 4pm I was ready to push. At 4:44 our baby girl came. She weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and was 22 inches long. The past four days have been crazy but such a great adventure. I never thought I would love to look at someone so much. She of course is perfect to us and we couldn't be happier. What a spiritual experience it has been to have her come into our lives. Words cannot express my feelings. Anyway, all is going well. Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband yesterday. He's been amazing through this whole thing. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Heaven

So, my parents went out of town on Friday to go visit my brother. Ty and I are watching the house/dogs. That means we have been able to sleep in their new sleep number bed. Oh boy, it's amazing. I love being able to adjust how firm I want the bed. They also have an adjustable foundation so I can move the head and feet up and down. It has helped with my heartburn at night. Last night I only woke up once and it was because of the dogs, not even because of something wrong with my body. I'm excited for them to come home tonight but that means I only have 9 hours to figure out how to move this bed to my home. :-) lol It's amazing.

Yeah those are pretty much how I feel right now. Not much progress. I meet with the doctor on Tuesday. He doesn't think anything will happen before then. Baby is doing good and looks healthy. I'll update you after Tuesday!

Countdown to....?

So, I'm officially 6 days past my due date. So we don't know when we're counting down to. Besides being very anxious, scared, and emotional I haven't been doing too bad. :-) I have an appointment this afternoon. I can't sleep at the moment. Maybe because I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon. Hopefully we'll have some progress when I go to the doctor!

Happy Birthday Mum!

I just wanted to say happy birthday to my wonderful mother! I hope her day goes great and I love her very much!

Fun Family Night

So, tonight for FHE we decided to get stuff for our 2nd bathroom. We've been looking at various places and haven't found anything we loved. Well, we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond tonight and found this set. We totally love it! I cannot wait til we can put it in the condo! I'm getting so anxious to move in. Right now they're installing carpet, countertops, and painting. Then we'll have to wait til the loan closes. Who knew it took so long to buy something! I'm really trying to be patient. It will probably be ready the day the baby comes. :-) Just our luck.
