IT'S HERE!

That's right everyone, football season is among us. My favorite time of year. Tonight for the Utah game I decided to make something easy for supper. It was my first time making taco soup and it was a success! I highly recommend it if you need a big quantity and something people can grab at anytime. I'm so happy football is here and fall is quickly behind! Go Utes!

Big Girl and Changes

My little girl is becoming big! In the past few weeks she turned 6 months old, has started crawling and pulling herself up. She is so active and it's so much fun. I decided since she is six months old, ours time to stop feeding her in the middle of the night. (I know I'm very late in doing this, don't judge :-) So on Monday we put tge crib in the office and started letting her cry it out. (we didn't want her waking up Whitney) It's never easy to ignore your screaming baby, but overall it has been a pretty smooth transition. And my body has enjoyed the good sleep it's been getting! So, big changes have been happening and we are having fun!

Friends

I have to admit that a year ago I was afraid to have a 2 year old be an older sister. For the most part we haven't had problems and Whitney has been very helpful. Lately the girls have been so much fun to watch. Lindsey is sitting and interacts more now. Whitney loves playing with her and Lindsey adores her. Whitney can make her laugh more and smile bigger than anyone else. It sure makes my job better :-) Please forgive the blurry pictures.

Aviary

Today the girls and I went to the local aviary with my two brothers. We had lots of fun looking at birds, riding rides, and feeding ducks at the park. It was hot, but the girls did great and enjoyed it.

This weekend we went down to visit Ty's mom and to go to our annual rodeo. We went down Thursday night and took my niece because she loves horses.
Our trip down started good, but by the end Lindsey was screaming and my niece isn't used to it like we are. We had smores the first night.
Friday morning I helped move sprinklers on the farm for the first time. Ty was happy I could experience it.
The girls waited anxiously , but patiently because they were so excited to ride horses.
Friday night Ty and I left our girls with his mom and took my niece to dinner then headed to the rodeo. Most of my family came so it was a blast.
Saturday we went shooting with my sister, Wendy and her friend, Jamie.
We topped off our trip with dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and visited a candy shop. Then we drove past an elk ranch. I could've stayed there for hours. They are such amazing animals!
We had such great weekend. It was so relaxing and fun. I love the small towns and the country feel. How are you guys enjoying your summer?

I hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying their families! I know I am. My brother just came home from his mission and it has been a lot of fun seeing him. My aunt came down this last weekend from Wyoming and it was such a blast having her here. Two of my siblings are leaving at the beginning of August for school, so I'm just going to make the most of this month!
