Christmas Parties

Tonight we had Ty's family Christmas party. It was great to spend time together and there was lots of yummy food. Sugar had lots of fun playing with her cousin and her cousin's new train.

This year my mom and dad took us all out to Desert Star. The play was really funny. It was Nutcracker, men in tights. They had lots of jokes about local things which was awesome. (including making fun of BYU, which is always welcome for me :-) I was sick and sadly didn't get to try any of the food, but I still had a good time.

Here's the stage.

Ty had his annual work Christmas party earlier this month. I had a final that night so I didn't get to go. :-( But the rest of the fam had fun. Santa gave everyone a toy. Sugar wasn't really happy to be around Santa, but she did like opening her present.

It's dark but if you look closely Sugar is pushing away from Santa lol

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas week and get to feel the wonderful spirit of Christmas. Spend time with your family and carry out and make new traditions! I love this time of year and can't wait to wake up Christmas morning with our new little family!

Fun Times

On Veterans' Day my sister, Wendy, was off work so we decided to go to lunch at my sister, Ashley's house. We had yummy food and watched a Christmas movie to kick off the holiday season. It was lots of fun.

I don't know what the fascination is with babies and other babies' pacifiers. Here are two cousins sucking on each others binky. They are out of control!

She gets to entertain the babies a lot

So I get to watch my nephew Desmond on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For the 20 minutes that he was actually awake the other babies were all over him and his toys. He's already a ladies man!

My cute niece

Here's the three cousins. They look like the same age almost. They're all getting so old!
Sugar was a monkey for Halloween. And yes there was a banana in the pocket of the costume lol She was so cute. And sorry she's being so goofy in the picture but she is a monkey

This is what happens when I don't pay attention every second to my baby :-)
Life continues to go on, no matter how hard I would like to be able to push a pause button and relax for a week. :-) Anatomy is kicking my butt, but I do love what I'm learning. My family is helping out so much with watching Whitney. The semester is coming to an end quickly! I'll probably start blogging more often after that.

New Blog

My sister and I love the Fox tv show So You Think You Can Dance. Well we decided we wanted to start a blog about our feelings after each show. Check it out here. We don't really know what we're talking about, but we sure have our opinions! Enjoy!

Oh my

Sugar has really been fighting sleep lately. I used to be able to just put her in her crib and she would go to sleep. For some reason this week we've had to rock her and try a million different things before she'll go to sleep. Well earlier today, she was really tired and sitting next to me. Her eyes got heavier and heavier, then soon her head was on my chest and she was sleeping. Well, tonight I was taking a test online so hubby got the lovely job of putting her to sleep. She was screaming for awhile and then I walked into our room to this:

She did the same thing as earlier. Just passed out sitting up cause she was so tired! She is such a cutie. (sorry my bedding was in the wash. That's why there's nothing on the bed)My puppy:

So, Sugar puts everything in her mouth. Honestly she is like a puppy. She'll chew on shoes, socks, water bottles, anything. Her favorite thing to try to eat is paper. She loves junk mail and any paper. I usually keep a pretty good eye on her and have to take pieces out of her mouth all the time. The other day I was changing her diaper and guess what I found. A little piece of paper in her poop! I guess I'll have to watch the puppy a little better! :-)

UPDATES!!!

Wow, so it's been awhile since I have been online. Things have been a little crazy. School started last week. Between that and being a mom, I haven't really been able to do anything else. Literally, nothing! I really love being back in school even though it's so much work. I just love learning new things.
Yesterday was the first football game for my school. I love college football! We were so excited to watch it last night! We won and even Sugar was happy. :-) She loves her UTES! (well she will soon)

Last week Sugar started crawling. That's right crawling! All over the place. She is so active. She is so determined. When she wants something, she'll do whatever it takes to get it. She is such a cutie. She also had her first ear infection and is getting her first tooth! So, we've been very busy around here!

Babies, Babies, Babies!

So Ty's sister-in-law, Tiffany, had her baby boy yesterday. So Sugar has a third cousin her age! I love going to the hospital to see newborns. Desmond was 7lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. He is such a cutie and a great combination of Brian and Tiffany. We're so excited to watch him grow up and finally be able to fit his Air Jordans. :-) Congrats to Brian and Tiffany we're so happy for you!

I love his little nose! And he has lots of dark hair. (he already has more hair than Sugar does :-)
Guess what, they are in the EXACT same room as we were in when we had Sugar! Crazy huh!
Here's the 5 month pictures of Sugar I promised.
Always trying to take whatever you have in your hand.
Even though she's falling over in this picture, she really is doing a lot better at sitting up. I can leave her on her own for a few minutes before she falls over.

Updates

Sorry for the absence. My mind has been a little preoccupied lately. Our anniversary was this week. Wow does time go fast! Ty surprised me on Saturday and took me to Cirque Du Soleil. It was so awesome. I saw one of their shows in Vegas a few years ago, but Ty had never been. It's so amazing. My parents were kind enough to take Sugar so we could have a fun night out. On Tuesday (our actual anniversary) we just relaxed and went out for a romantic dinner. What a great two years it has been. I couldn't have asked for a better companion, he is so perfect for me I'm so grateful for him and all that he does for me.

Sugar turns 5 months old today. I'll post pics later. She is miss grabby lately and wants to put anything you have in her mouth. She likes to explore things that way.

Yesterday we went to the Davis County Fair. It was so great to see all the cool animals and to see my niece and nephew ride ponies.

Thanks to Brian and Tiffany, Ty's been obsessing over getting a new tv. So, after searching everywhere we found a great deal on the local classifieds and got a tv. The best part about it is I finally get channels!!! Before now, I haven't had any. Not even local channels. We're too far away to pick up any signals with rabbit ears. But now I'll be able to watch the news and finally be back in the loop. :-) I'm really excited. We get the dish installed tomorrow.

School starts again in a week or so. I'm having mixed feelings but very excited to finally be back in the classroom! Best part about it though is that means football season is swiftly approaching! I cannot wait. This is my favorite time of year! Is there anything better than waking up Saturday morning, putting on a hoodie to bum on the couch and watch college football all day long? What is your favorite part of fall? Feel free to share!!!

Good Entertainment

So my sister Wendy had the opportunity to choreograph for a local theater's production of Once Upon a Mattress. Well on Monday and I went to see it and was very impressed! Wendy did a great job. It was funny and well performed. Anyway I just wanted to tell my sis good job and I'm excited to see it again!

Growing Up

We've started feeding Sugar baby cereal. She's actually doing pretty good. A lot of it comes right back out, but she does manage to eat some of it. :-) It's so much fun to watch a baby grow up right before your eyes.
