Home Improvement

There have been lots of little things I've wanted done around the house since we moved in. Well, for Valentines Day, we went to dinner and then to Home Depot. If anyone knows me, you know I love home improvement stores. Well we were there for quite a long time and thanks to our lovely government tax return, got lots of great stuff. For the past week we've been completing projects and here are some pics:

This is the last step to completing our lovely ceiling fan. This stupid thing should've taken less than 3o minutes to put up. But between me (who is greatly prone to clutziness) and Ty (who is not usually a clutz but happened to be when we did this project) we dropped a screw down into the motor, broke one of the light covers, lost screws, and dropped the base. Needless to say we know the inner workings of the fan and everything works perfectly now. We love it.

Notice the white wall in the background? Yeah well that will be changing soon also! (Shhh! I won't say anything more, updates will come soon!)

I finally got hardware for my kitchen. Ty also got a drill which he has been wanting forever so it was a win-win

We also got a door knob because ours was broken. (Remember the clutziness thing I talked about earlier? Well I'm also forgetful and locked the keys in the house)

Oh and we both got new shoes. :-)

As you can see I'm very excited and HGTV has become one of my favorite channels, so my creative juices have started flowing! Now all I need is my sister, Jen to work her magic and help me put those juices into actual decorations. :-)

Laundry Time

It may take longer, but who wouldn't want to get laundry help from this little cutie :-) Ty was pushing her around the house in the basket and she was having lots of fun. And she did help throw clothes out of the basket.

Great Birthday

I really have a wonderful husband. He always makes my birthday so great. The night before my birthday he called me out to the living room and there were flowers and two new shirts. He knows that I love to wear new clothes on my birthday so he gave me some options. :-) he is so great. Plus he got me another gift and gave it to me on my birthday. My birthday was so great. I spent it doing what I love most, hanging out with family. I got great gifts and had lots of fun so thanks so all of my family! Yes I'm the ripe old age of 22, and no I don't feel old. :-)

Go Getter

Sugar turned 10 months old week!

So Sugar has been crawling for a little less than five months and is very quick when she wants something. This week she was standing at my mom's end table and I was a couple feet away from her and put my hands out and she took a couple steps before she fell down! She is getting more and more risky. She is such a go getter and it doesn't phase her if she falls down. I can't believe how big she's getting and how quickly she's growing! It's so much fun.

She talks constantly and loves to yell. Especially when her aunts yell back! (Ashley and Wendy)

School started back up this week for me and I really love my classes so far! I guess it's a good thing I picked my major to be something that I am interested. :-) We're having a great time growing as a family and we feel very blessed!

Christmas

On Christmas we got to talk to my little brother in Mozambique on Skype. It was so great to see him and talk to him.

Ty cheated and spent too much money but I got an ipod for Christmas. I was very excited and grateful!

Sugar liked the paper more than the gifts, but it was fun to watch her. She's a little cutie.

Ash gave Ty a signed Utah football, and he loves it so much.

This pictures shows the babies personalities perfectly. I love Sugar's little face. She isn't willing to put up with too much. :-) The other babies are just happy and chill.

As I get older, gifts don't mean as much to me. I appreciate the cherished traditions and time spent as a family. I love my family and I love Christmas. Even though Sugar doesn't understand holidays yet, it was lots of fun to have her open gifts and share traditions with her. I hope all of you had a great Christmas and New Years!

Christmas Parties

Tonight we had Ty's family Christmas party. It was great to spend time together and there was lots of yummy food. Sugar had lots of fun playing with her cousin and her cousin's new train.

This year my mom and dad took us all out to Desert Star. The play was really funny. It was Nutcracker, men in tights. They had lots of jokes about local things which was awesome. (including making fun of BYU, which is always welcome for me :-) I was sick and sadly didn't get to try any of the food, but I still had a good time.

Ty had his annual work Christmas party earlier this month. I had a final that night so I didn't get to go. :-( But the rest of the fam had fun. Santa gave everyone a toy. Sugar wasn't really happy to be around Santa, but she did like opening her present.
