Stop And Think
On Thursday morning I went out to the car at about 6:45 am to go to class. I saw that the driver side window was totally shattered and someone had gone through the whole glove box and had stolen our radio. And broke our cup holder. :-( Ty had to drive me to class. We were both really upset and I was so mad and sad when I was walking into class. I thought why would someone do this? How can they even sleep at night knowing what they put people through. I was stressing about the money that we would need to fix it. Anyway, while I was totally feeling bad for myself...I sat down next to my project partner in class. He seemed down so I asked him what was up. He replied that a friend of his had died the day before in a car accident. Suddenly all my hard feelings shattered. Here I am wallowing in self pity and someone else is grieving over the death of a loved one. I thought to myself, everyone I love is just a phone call or a short drive away. I have a roof over my head and food to fill my stomach. And while I'm still not happy about what happened to the car, I have a total different perspective on things. I'm grateful for all that I have and I hope that I can always stop and think and remember how blessed my life truly is. :-)

Jess and Tyler, I am so sorry to hear about your car! I am always really impressed by your perspectives. Please know we would be happy to give rides or help out in any way we can.
Nicely put, Jess. It helps to be reminded just how lucky we are.
I know Noah already weighed in, but I'm so sorry to hear about your latest car frustration! I just want to echo what he said - please let us know if we can help with anything.
Way to put things into perspective!
