Wonderful Weekend

This weekend we went down to MIL's house and spent the weekend. It was so much fun! Friday night we went out to eat with her and the guy she has been dating. On Saturday morning we went to the temple. I love the Manti temple it is just breathtaking. After we finished the endowment session a worker asked us to step in and help with sealings so we got to do that also! It was awesome. After that we went four-wheeling up Ephraim Canyon. It is so pretty up there! I have only driven them a couple times but I actually drove the whole way down the mountain!!! It was amazingly fun but extremely terrifying but we are still in one piece! It was fun to spend time with Ty's brother and his family also. It is so serene and beautiful down there, it just breaks up the stress from being in the city.

This is when we got back. Notice I'm driving :-)
Who is this handsome guy? ;-)
These are when we got to the top of the mountain. So pretty! I love being able to hear the stream water running and the leaves blowing in the wind. It's so relaxing! There are a bunch of wild cats and my MIL feeds them her leftover scraps. Well I fell in love with this kitten. It is so cute!!! It's mom died :-( I wanted to take it home so badly! We even lured it to us with food and got to hold it!

Updates

So I know it has been about a year since I blogged. Oh well. Things have gotten crazy! I got a job up at the admissions office at school so that's good. And it's lots of fun. Plus the management is way cool and accommodating(I don't think you spell it that way oops)! What a change :-)
This is after my brother's graduation. He got to speak at it and did amazing so that was awesome. So congrats! He's the sixth kid from our family to graduate from good ol' CHS.

We took a family vacation up to Pineview Reservoir and we had lots of fun. It was really pretty up there!

Stop And Think

On Thursday morning I went out to the car at about 6:45 am to go to class. I saw that the driver side window was totally shattered and someone had gone through the whole glove box and had stolen our radio. And broke our cup holder. :-( Ty had to drive me to class. We were both really upset and I was so mad and sad when I was walking into class. I thought why would someone do this? How can they even sleep at night knowing what they put people through. I was stressing about the money that we would need to fix it. Anyway, while I was totally feeling bad for myself...I sat down next to my project partner in class. He seemed down so I asked him what was up. He replied that a friend of his had died the day before in a car accident. Suddenly all my hard feelings shattered. Here I am wallowing in self pity and someone else is grieving over the death of a loved one. I thought to myself, everyone I love is just a phone call or a short drive away. I have a roof over my head and food to fill my stomach. And while I'm still not happy about what happened to the car, I have a total different perspective on things. I'm grateful for all that I have and I hope that I can always stop and think and remember how blessed my life truly is. :-)

Wonderful Weekend

Sunday was the two year mark from when Tyler's dad passed away so we visited the gravesite with his mom on Saturday. It was such a beautiful day.
Here is Tyler and his mom

Saturday night we went to the Manti temple. It was so special. It was nice to be with Tyler's mom there. And I don't know why but I was so emotional. It was just a spiritual weekend for me. The temple is so pretty and even prettier inside. It took my breath away.

Can you imagine if this was the view from your front porch? On Sunday it was such a nice day and we had a couple hours to kill in the morning since church isn't til one. We sat out on the porch and listened to nice music. It is so nice to hear the birds chirping and looking at the gorgeous mountains. It is just so peaceful to be down there. Tyler's mom always takes such good care of us. I hope she knows that we love and appreciate her very much!
